Meet at: Lower Lydbrook Car Park (by the river - GL17 9NJ) £1 charge
From Lydbrook we ascend to the old tramway and then into the fields to the outskirts of Ruardean. A steep climb then takes us to the Beacon in Ruardean Hill. The route returns to Lydbrook through the Forest and on the former railway.
