From Crickhowell Information Centre (car park behind at £5 per day cash or card and toilets available) walk through the town to pick up the Beacons Way. Our route heads roughly NW below the ridges to Cwmdu. We return via a lower route going towards Tretower before picking up part of the Beacons Way again then back into Crickhowell. Mixed terrain of country lanes, footpaths and trails. Most of the ascent is done in the morning nevertheless the whole route is undulating. Stout footwear and walking poles advised.
